On one hand, we are depleting nature. Meanwhile, we don’t even use a fraction of the solution that nature has to offer! This especially holds for microbiology. From the billions of strains out there, we’ve only industrialized a few. Sure, partly this is because that is not an easy job. But with the rapid developments in technology available today and an open mind about how to apply these developments combined with proven technologies, it is time we modernize a rather conservative industry of microbiology. Plus, we like a good challenge! 🎢
